Gone in 60 Second's Eleanor is FOR SALE.

The Mustang that started the "Eleanor" craze is for sale. The original Eleanor in the movie "Gone in Sixty Seconds," the 2000 action hit starring Nicolas Cage is being shown at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.  The 67 GT500E will be on display between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until it's sold. http://www.autocollections.com/index.cfm?key=1631&action=details&tab=inventory  There has yet to be a price announced, as soon as its is known, it will be posted.

This unique "Shelby" has received a lot of attention, good and bad. The GT500E was not a real Shelby, but played one in the movie. There were 12 Eleanors built for the movie, But this was the one that was deemed the Movie star. It has caused clones to pop up all over and bringing big money on Ebay.  There has even been 05/06 Mustangs modified and painted to mimic the movie's second star.

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you know that Carroll Shelby has started to build "real" Shelby versions of this car. He has received permission from Ford and the U.S. government to re-vin old 67/68 fastbacks and label them as Shelby's. www.uniqueperformance.com
